CONSTITUTION OF INDIA

No. PASAPRA-1986/(CR-116/86)/ADF-1.— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India and in supersession of Government Notification, Agriculture and Co-operation Department, No. PAVIA-2679/18500(307)-5/ADF, dated 14th February 1983, the Governor of Maharashtra is hereby pleased to make the following rules regulating recruitment to all the posts in the cadre of Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry, in the Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Services, Class I (Senior) in the Directorate of Animal Husbandry of the Government of Maharashtra, namely:-

1. (a) These rules may be called the Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry, in the Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Services, Class I (Senior) in the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Recruitment Rules, 1988.

(b) These rules shall apply to all the posts in the cadre of Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry in the Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Services, Class I, except the Deputy Directors of Animal Husbandry (Feed and Fodder) and (Fodder Development) in the Maharashtra directorate of Animal Husbandry.

2. Appointment to any post of Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry, in the cadre of Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry, Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Services, Class I (Senior) to which then rules apply shall be made by promotion of a suitable person, on the basis of selection, from amongst the persons holding the post of Assistant Director of Animal Husbandry, in the Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Services, Class I (Junior) in the Directorate of Animal Husbandry.

3. A person appointed to any of the posts of Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry shall be required to pass the departmental examination, if any, and examinations in Hindi and Marathi according to the rules made in that behalf, unless he has already passed or has bee exempted from passing, these examinations.
