5% Anti-Rabic Vaccine

Definition:-

• The vaccine consists of 5% suspension of brain tissue from sheep inoculated with fixed rabies virus and inactivated with Beta-propiolactone.

Use:-


• It is used for the treatment of animals bitten by dogs suspected of rabies.

Doses and Administration:-

Reactions:-


• Normally no reactions are noticed in animals, except some stress as a result of the large course of treatment.

Immunity:-


• Immunity is for a period of six months.

Precautions:-

• Transport of vaccine on ice is preferable, to maintain cold chain.
• Store in the refrigerator in the middle chambers.Do not freeze the vaccine.
• Do not apply Tr. iodine or spirit while vaccination.
• Use sterile syringes and needles.
• Shake the bottle well before the vaccine is drawn.

Storage:-


• Between 40 C to 80 C ........... Six months from the date of manufacture.
