Deccani Sheep
The breed of sheep reared in the Maharashtra is called as Deccani sheep. Predominantly sheep population black (57%), white (28%) & mix colored (15%). Deccani breed has some prominent types such as Lonand, Sangamneri, Solapuri (Sangola) & Kolhapuri.
